Request a Votive Candle

The ancient Christian tradition of lighting votive candles signifies the light of faith as we petition our Lord in prayer, or petition the Saints to pray with us and for us to the Lord. These candles also indicate our special reverence and our desire to remain present to the Lord in prayer even as we continue our daily activities.
A $5 donation per votive candle is customary, but not required. You may request a candle by filling out the form below, sending your request by mail, or calling the office at 214-348-7380. Please turn your form in well in advance of the date you wish to offer a votive candle, as dates can be taken quickly. Candle intentions will be listed in the weekly bulletin.
If you choose to make a one-time donation through Faith Direct, please make a note in the memo with the name of the person for whom you have requested the candle.
